Director of Nursing- Inpatient Physical Rehabilitation

Founded in 1837, Cuyahoga County’s safety-net health system operates four hospitals, four emergency departments and more than 20 health centers.** **Summary:** **Ensures the provision of high-quality, culturally sensitive nursing/patient care in accordance with evidence-based practice, current research, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, and the ANA Code of Ethics for the assigned clinical areas. Utilizes clinical and business skills to ensure the optimal operating efficiency of designated clinical areas, including patient care, human resource management, and fiscal effectiveness. Provides development, ongoing enhancement, and implementation of Nursing and Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility staff education programs, performance improvement initiatives, research, and professional development within assigned clinical areas. Forms partnerships within nursing, PM&R Department, Hospital Operations, and Service Line representatives to encourage excellence in rehabilitation service and patient care. Ensures efficient and effective operations, regulatory and certification compliance, and high-quality care delivery within the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility.** Qualifications: **Required** : Graduate of an approved nursing program and currently licensed to practice professional nursing in Ohio. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and master’s degree in a health-related field. Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible nursing and managerial/administrative experience, including budget and cost analysis skills. Proven leadership, clinical competence, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated evidence of continuing professional self-development. Active certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) issued by the American Rehabilitation Nursing Certification Board (RNCB) or Magnet-recognized certification in nursing administration (e.g., CNML or NE/NEA-BC) and 3 years of rehabilitation experience. Reliable transportation to travel to ambulatory sites. Ability to interact effectively with various cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
