+ **Eligible for an annual bonus Incentive** This role will support multiple units across two of our locations: Med-Surg, Rehab, ED and ICU. Ascension Via Christi St. Teresa is a hospital and 24/7 emergency room offering specialty services like the accredited Ascension Via Christi Hernia Center, orthopedics, heart failure care, and robotic-assisted surgical procedures. St. Teresa features a dedicated Geriatric ER and a child-friendly emergency room among its 68 private patient suites, focusing on advanced, personalized care for the community. Ascension Via Christi Rehabilitation Hospital offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient therapy, specializing in recovery from conditions like stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, and neurological disorders. It includes our unique Easy Street rehabilitation area that simulates real-world environments to help patients regain independence, alongside specialized physical, occupational, and speech therapies.

**Responsibilities**
Direct services, workflow and resources for assigned nursing area.
+ Develop departmental goals and objectives consistent with medical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements of the health care delivery system.
+ Direct clinical activities, including patient assessment, care plan development, service level determination, patient visits, and complaint management.
+ Plan, organize and direct all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating and continuing education initiatives.
+ Prepare and monitor budget(s) and ensure that assigned nursing area operates within allocated funds.
+ Coordinate and direct internal and externally-driven audits.
**Requirements**
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
+ BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
Education:
+ Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
+ Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred.
Work Experience:
+ 5 years of experience required.
+ 10 years of experience preferred.
+ 2 years of leadership or management experience required.
+ 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
**Additional Preferences**
+ 5+ years leadership preferred
+ Acute Care experience required
+ Director experienced preferred
+ Manager experience also accepted
