The Director of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) serves as a key strategic and analytical partner to the EVP of Operations, supporting the identification, evaluation, and execution of growth opportunities through acquisitions, divestitures, and partnerships.
This role is highly execution-focused and requires strong financial analysis expertise, deep familiarity with M&A processes, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights. The Director will play a critical role in supporting deal analysis execution, due diligence, and post-transaction integration efforts
Essential FunctionsExecutive Support & Strategic Partnership
Partner closely with the EVP of Operations to support the M&A strategy and execution prioritiesProvide data-driven insights and recommendations to inform decision-makingPrepare executive-level materials, presentations, and business casesFinancial Analysis & Valuation
Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate potential transactionsConduct valuation analyses, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactionsAnalyze financial statements, forecasts, and key performance driversDeal Execution Support
Support end-to-end transaction processes, including target evaluation, due diligence, and closing activitiesCoordinate cross-functional teams (finance, legal, HR, operations) during deal executionManage timelines, materials, and communication with internal stakeholders and external advisorsDue Diligence & Risk Assessment
Lead financial due diligence efforts and support broader diligence workstreamsIdentify risks, opportunities, and synergies associated with potential transactionsSummarize findings and present actionable insights to leadershipIntegration Support
Assist in integration, planning and execution in partnership with operations teamsTrack synergy realization and financial performance post-transactionSupport operational alignment and transition activitiesMarket & Pipeline Analysis
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential targetsMaintain pipeline tracking and reporting of M&A opportunitiesMonitor industry trends and emerging opportunities About YouEducation & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)3-5+ years of experience in financial analysis, investment banking, corporate development, or M&AStrong background as a Financial Analyst with hands-on M&A exposureTechnical Skills
Advanced financial modeling and analytical skillsStrong understanding of financial statements and accounting principlesExperience supporting transactions, including due diligence and valuationHigh proficiency in Excel and PowerPointProfessional Skills
Strong attention to detail and analytical rigorAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex analysesCollaborative mindset with the ability to influence without direct authorityAbility to effectively communicate with prospective sellers, business owners, advisors and brokers throughout a transaction process.Preferred Qualifications
