In 2010, Paragon 28® was established as an orthopaedic foot and ankle company. This role will shape the category and go-to-market strategy, engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and the broader Smart28 community, and act as a visible champion of our service-led ecosystem. The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of strategic marketing, community building, and commercial acumen to scale a category-defining innovation in the medical space.

How You'll Create Impact

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Marketing Lead to drive the definition, growth, and commercial success of the Smart28 platform. This role will shape the category and go-to-market strategy, engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and the broader Smart28 community, and act as a visible champion of our service-led ecosystem. The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of strategic marketing, community building, and commercial acumen to scale a category-defining innovation in the medical space.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1. Strategic Leadership & Category Development

Define and evolve the Smart28 platform category and service offering.Lead go-to-market strategies, including market entry and scale-up planning.Conduct ongoing competitor landscape analysis and strategic response planning.

2. Community & KOL Engagement

Act as the outward-facing representative of the Smart28 community program.Develop and execute strategies to identify, engage, and manage relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and peer influencers.Support field sales teams in recruiting and certifying new community members.Manage and grow the platform’s social capital through expert and peer interactions.

3. Centres of Excellence (CE) Development

Build and support Centres of Excellence focused on procedural and technical expertise, independent of specific product promotion.

 

4. User Group & Community Management

Develop and sustain Communities of Practice for certified Smart28 members.Foster peer-to-peer learning and knowledge sharing within user groups.

5. Medical Education & Certification

Collaborate with the medical education team to connect Smart28 with relevant courses.Drive initiatives to certify and onboard new program members through structured educational pathways.

6. Marketing & Sales Enablement

Define messaging, key selling points, and positioning for the Smart28 platform.Lead marketing campaigns and sales strategies aligned with market entry and growth goals.Develop and refine reimbursement strategy in collaboration with commercial and market access teams.Your Background Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or related field (Master’s preferred).7+ years of experience in marketing, strategy, or commercial roles—ideally in healthcare, MedTech, or SaaS-like service models.Proven success in launching or scaling new platforms, services, or categories.Strong experience working with KOLs, communities of practice, or expert user groups.Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capabilities.Experience in medical education, customer certification programs, or reimbursement strategy is a plus.

Work Environment

Hybrid, flexible working model in place. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with individuals internal and external to the organization. The employee frequently is required to move about the facility when onsite. The employee may be required to lift up-to 15 lbs. by themselves.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position and it may reasonably require additional hours during the week and weekend; specific requirements will be determined with Manager.

Travel Expectations

Overnight travel as necessary.  Candidates who do not reside in Colorado with need to travel significantly more than Colorado residents.
