The Director of Marketing & Communications is an inspirational leader responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing the hotel’s strategic marketing, branding, public relations, and digital communications initiatives. He/ She is supports revenue growth, enhances the market positioning of the hotel and its Food & Beverage outlets. The successful candidate will be a data-driven strategist, a creative storyteller, and a collaborative leader, adept at managing return on investment.
What will I be doing?
As the Director of Marketing & Communications, you will be a strategic leader who develops and implements the marketing and communications plan that is aligned with the hotel’s commercial needs. You will manage the budget, keep to timeline of projects, provide update on market and data analysis, competitor benchmarking and maintain the hotel’s brand positioning. You will collaborate with stakeholders on-property (across all functions) and off-property (including agencies) to support optimization of campaigns and development of assets to support business growth. You will lead all digital marketing efforts, email marketing, content marketing and manage property information updates. You will have a clear social media strategy (organic and paid) to increase engagements. You will be the guardian of the hotel’s brand identity and voice and manage relationships with key media, influencers, and business partners. You will collaborate with agency partners and manage timely delivery of press releases, photography and videography, media and KOLs visits, and support hotel in crisis communications. You will manage appointed agencies in public relations, social media, digital and creative to deliver marketing collateral, advertising campaigns, and visual/video content. You will lead, mentor and provide guidance and motivation to the Marketing & Communications team and foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and results-oriented performance.
A Director of Marketing & Communications will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
Supports achievement of hotel’s metrics including Revenue Generation Index, total revenue achievement and loyalty program performance.
Recommends and activates efficient marketing spend.
Manages social media engagement & growth.
Manages content and email marketing performance.
Manages and responds to reviews on business and social platforms.
Monitors and manages guests’ sentiments, online reputation, media impressions / coverage and share of voice.
Provides copywriting for guest’s fronting information.
Manages and evaluates effectiveness on marketing spend based on return on investment (return on ad spend, click through rate, cost per click and conversion rates).
Supports team development through guidance and mentorship.
Manages timeline and work pressure.
Adheres to budget expectations.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field.
Minimum 3 years in a leadership role within the hospitality industry (hotels/resorts) will be an advantage.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful, result-driven marketing strategies.
Expert knowledge of digital marketing, content marketing, analytics and social media tools.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong team player who collaborates well with stakeholders.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and multi-task.
