Director of Marketing Communications

Implement the hotel’s Marketing Communications Strategy (goals, tactics and actions) to achieve and exceed forecasted revenue figures in Rooms, Food and Beverage, Spa and all other revenue generating departments.

Establishing annual marketing communications budgets, including above the line advertising, public relations, sales promotions and publicity that will form part of the hotel’s business plan.

To measure, interpret, prioritise and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing communications activities through an ROI analysis and adjust as necessary.

To monitor all current attitudes and public statements concerning the hotel in foreign and local media.

To closely work with Revenue Management Manager / Analyst to maximise use of relevant data including customer profile, behaviour, and yield for the planning and evaluation of marketing communications.

To develop good community contacts among government, businesses, associations, etc. and represent the hotel at public functions. To support ad-hoc events and or projects in the community.

Answers to all press inquiries, ensuring only relevant and accurate information have been released to the press.

Provides assistance to hotel personnel in writing speeches, preparing letters and drafting articles that are to be made public.

Proactively seeks opportunities (internally and externally) to promote rooms and food and beverage business.
