Director of Marketing, Portfolio
Stryker Emergency Care is seeking a dynamic leader to drive our marketing new product development devices and acquisition/partnership activity in the emergency care space. This includes the community, law enforcement/government/military, EMS/Fire, and hospital segments. The product portfolio includes a) capital medical equipment including the accessories and disposables that work with that capital, and b) the data platforms that connect to and support our products, including the Stryker owned programs/platforms as well as the third-party integrations that work with our owned platforms. This role is responsible for a global team of portfolio people, as well as our marketing insights person. + Defines and executes marketing strategy and new product development processes to achieve divisional revenue growth/goals within allocated budget. + Develops and recommends strategic plans and initiatives to gain greater market share, improved revenue and increased penetration. + Evaluates market data and trending, along with sales data, to ensure appropriate strategies to advise and modify marketing plans. + Assess potential markets to provide insight and input into new product development projects, M&A and divestiture decisions. + Develops customer focused value propositions that will create engagement and loyalty for our future products. + Provides advice and counsel to senior business leaders about strategic opportunities to grow portfolio and financial results. + Cultivates key customer relationships, working productively with EC healthcare providers and KOLs as well as the field sales organization to gain market insight, drive NPD feature sets, improve clinical practice, implement programs, and drive product preference and market growth. + Build strong relationships with the EC Cross Functional groups (RAQA, Finance, GQO, Legal, R&D, etc.) + Communicate and Collaborate with other Portfolio Marketing leaders both in Kalamazoo and across Stryker to share and learn about best practices and collaborate on initiatives that affect/impact many different markets across the Stryker system of care. + Develop and grow our portfolio managers and individual contributors and contribute to Emergency Care Marketing as a talent destination + Focused attention on our key New Product Development pipeline and product roadmap, ensuring that key projects run on-time and on-budget- driving alignment between PMO, R&D and Marketing on the priorities and spend. + Collaborate closely with Downstream marketing, Education, and cross functional leadership to ensure a comprehensive design and implementation of our strategies + Manages globally located team – and responsible for building a culture of accountability & performance/growth, while enabling everyone to show up as their best selves. **Qualifications** + Bachelors' Degree + 10 yrs experience in sales, sales training and management + 4 yrs experience directly managing a team **Preferred Qualifications** + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines + Ability to be persuasive in the absence of organizational authority + Must be able to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies + Light work: may exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, etc. Generally involves sitting most of the time. + Coordination of eye, hand and foot movement with an ability to grasp by hand and meet cognitive demands to include visual and auditory discrimination / memory, reading ability and memory retention ability.
