We want your knowledge and expertise! **Job Summary and Qualifications** Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director for the Magnet Recognition Program® is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, monitoring and overseeing the overall Magnet Recognition Program® and the Magnet designation/re-designation process and related programs. + You will work closely with leadership and staff in executing the Magnet Recognition Program® initiatives. + You will be responsible for submitting applications, interim monitoring reports, and Magnet documents (initial and re-designation) based on the Magnet criteria. + You will develop and implement organizational strategies and infrastructure to support clinical quality, operational effectiveness, and shared leadership which are all essential to the Magnet Program®. + You will acts as a liaison with all departments within the organization to promote nursing excellence and to further the Magnet philosophy. **What qualifications you will need:** **Education & Experience:** + Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing with a minimum of a Master’s degree of Science in Nursing or related field required. + 5 years’ experience in management/administration managing large-scale projects required. + Prior experience as a Magnet Program Director preferred. **Licensure, Certifications, Training:** + Current RN licensure by the State of Texas or from a Compact State if you declare the Compact State your Primary State of Residence required. + Basic Life Support (BLS) required. + Specialty certification preferred.
