Job Description
A privately held real estate investment and development firm is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Leasing & Revenue Strategy to lead the monetization and activation of a high-value portfolio spanning over 600 acres at the San Francisco–San Mateo County line.
This is a sales-focused leadership role responsible for driving near-term revenue through strategic leasing of industrial, commercial, and office properties, with a particular emphasis on activating underutilized land. The portfolio includes approximately 350 usable acres in Brisbane, of which only 50 acres have been leased to date—leaving a significant opportunity to unlock value across the remaining 300 acres.
ResponsibilitiesLead business planning and oversee revenue-generating activities across the portfolio.Analyze market trends to identify priority industries, target tenants, and broker relationships.Structure lease agreements that generate near-term income while preserving long-term flexibility.Align leasing strategy with cost controls, entitlements, and overall asset positioning to maximize NOI and long-term value.Collaborate with finance on budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.Evaluate land segments to determine optimal use and inform leasing and marketing priorities.Ensure lease terms are compatible with entitlement constraints and future planning.Build and oversee the existing internal leasing team and third-party brokers as needed.Define clear roles, KPIs, and accountability frameworks to align execution with strategic goals.Promote a strong performance-based culture centered on transparency, efficiency, and long-term value.Interface with ownership and executive leadership on leasing progress and strategic direction.Cultivate relationships with commercial real estate brokers, public agencies, and prospective tenants.Represent the company in public forums, industry events, and stakeholder meetings.Essential Skills10+ years of experience in commercial real estate leasing, with a strong background inland strategy, site leasing, interim use, and revenue generation.Proven success in sales-driven roles involving complex or non-standard real estate assets.Deep understanding of entitlement processes, zoning regulations, and land use planning.Strong network of brokers, tenants, and industry stakeholders in the Bay Area.Strategic thinker with the ability to execute at scale and drive measurable results.Demonstrated success in negotiating leases on complex or non-standard real estate assets.Prior experience supporting Commercial Real Estate, Land Development, or Civil EngineeringStrong market knowledge of Bay Area industrial, logistics, and land use segments.Familiarity with entitlement processes, land constraints, and zoning restrictions.Proven ability to align leasing activity with long-term asset planning.Exceptional communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsProperty Development, Commercial Real Estate, Civil Engineering industry experienceLand Leasing, Lease contractsCommercial Real Estate, Asset managementSite leasing, Real estate, SalesSite development, Land developmentCivil, Permitting, ConstructionWork Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $200000.00 - $300000.00/yr.
