We’re looking for a Director of Learning & Development to build and lead a dynamic learning function focused on equipping our people—especially managers and emerging leaders—with critical people skills and leadership capabilities. Our dispersed workforce demands scalable, innovative, and practical learning strategies that elevate individual potential and organizational capability. You’ll play a hands-on and strategic role in shaping the company’s L&D strategy, while also rolling up your sleeves to deliver meaningful programs that drive engagement, development, and performance. Core Role Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & ExecutionIdentify key organizational capabilities required to support and advance the overall organizational strategy. Develop and execute company-wide short and long-term L&D strategies aligned with organizational growth and business needs.Source and/or develop, deliver, and scale people skill and leadership development programs. Using both instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced modalities.Support development of technical and functional skills in partnership with functional leaders.Operate as a strategic partner to HR and business leaders, identifying learning needs and recommending effective, scalable solutions.Program Design & FacilitationDesign or source content and curriculum for people skills and leadership learning including communication, conflict resolution, giving feedback, collaboration, and coaching.   Facilitate live virtual or in-person training sessions as needed.Oversee the implementation and measurement of learning outcomes and program effectiveness.Consultative EnablementServe as an internal learning consultant for functional training needs.Provide guidance to functional leaders on how to develop and deliver job-specific training.Create toolkits, templates, and learning materials that promote best practices in adult learning and effectively equip managers to be self-sufficient in developing their own training content.Coach and support internal subject matter experts on learning techniques and delivery. Collaborate with functional areas to develop ways to support learning, development, change, and performance management in a self-service fashion.Develop and deploy a governance model that ensures content is curated and that functionality is maximized for learning systems.Team LeadershipProvide effective people management to the L&D team, overseeing the allocation of work and performance against goals. Provide feedback, coaching, and mentoring, drive employee development.Prioritize team efforts to maximize impact amid high-growth demands and resource constraints.Learning Technology OwnershipOwn and improve the company’s Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring it is intuitive, current, and effective for tracking, assigning, and reporting on learning activities.Identify opportunities to optimize the LMS for scale and improved user experience.Basic Qualifications Proven L&D leader with 8+ years of progressive experience in training and learning, instructional design, and organizational development, including specific experience developing and facilitating content and curriculum for people skills and leadership development.3+ years in a people leadership role.Bachelor’s Degree in Learning or Instructional Design, Human Resources, Organizational Development required. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in Learning or Instructional Design, Human Resources, Organizational Development preferred. Experience in high-growth environments or in companies undergoing frequent M&A.Familiarity with tools like Articulate, Adobe Captivate, or similar eLearning authoring platforms.Certification in training/facilitation (e.g., CPTD, ATD Master Trainer, etc.)Proven experience in developing, managing and facilitating learning programs with measurable results and operational impact. Strong background in learning and leadership development programming—ideally having built programs from learning needs assessment to delivery.Proven ability to influence and gain support of senior leaders, managers and stakeholders through clarity of message, command of subject matter, and effective communication delivery.Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and partner with other subject matter experts and business leaders, with proven ability to build and foster positive relationships.Proven experience in learning needs analysis and designing learning content for business impact.Proven experience optimizing impact of learning programs for learners, with ability to simplify complex topics so the uninformed end user can understand.Proven experience providing consultative support to specifically address business needs.$140,000 - $150,000 a yearWindow Nation cultivates a culture of inclusion that respects our employees' individual strengths, views, and experiences.
