Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Director of FP& A will play a key role in driving strategic financial initiatives, building high-performing teams, and optimizing FP& A processes to support the company’s ambitious growth plans. Position Summary: The Director of FP& A will oversee all aspects of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, operational finance, KPI tracking, and performance reporting for the organization. Leading a central function within this multifaceted company—which operates multiple business units across the U.S.—the ideal candidate will be a strong, results-oriented leader with expertise in developing scalable FP& A functions and systems. Key Responsibilities: + Lead all areas of financial planning and analysis, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and business objectives. + Partner with the CFO to implement long-term financial strategies that support the company’s rapid growth and operational complexity. + Overhaul and re-engineer FP& A processes and systems to streamline planning and reporting, ensuring scalability and enhanced efficiency. + Build and mentor a high-performing FP& A team, cultivating a collaborative and innovative culture to achieve organizational objectives. + Develop and manage the company-wide annual budget and forecasting process, providing accurate and timely financial insights to senior leadership. + Partner with operational leaders across business units to identify growth opportunities, optimize costs, and improve overall performance KPIs. + Provide comprehensive financial analyses, including variance analysis, trend identification, sensitivity studies, and scenario modeling for critical decision-making. + Design and implement dashboards and other reporting tools to monitor key financial and operational metrics across all business units. At Robert Half we never distribute your resume without your permission Requirements • A minimum of 15 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. • Proven expertise in building and managing FP& A functions, including system evaluation and team development. • Strong background in government contracting and percentage-of-completion accounting. • Hands-on approach with the ability to collaborate closely with team members. • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders. • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement new financial workflows. • Proficiency in financial tools such as Hyperion or OneStream, with the ability to assess and optimize systems. • Experience in annual budgeting, month-end close processes, and cash flow forecasting.
