The right candidate will determine the feasibility and resolve all title, environmental and entitlement issues. Direct engineers in completion of all maps, improvement plans, permits and approvals. Oversee the installation of all infrastructure required to build homes
Compensation Range: Between $120,000 - $170,000, based on experience. This position is bonus eligible.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Consult with land acquisition managers to determine the feasibility of obtaining the entitlements, permits and approvals and installing the infrastructure to develop new homesProvide periodic schedules and budgets related to obtaining the entitlements, permits and approvals and developing the land for new acquisition opportunitiesResolve all title and environmental issues which would preclude the division from purchasing property for the purpose of building and selling new homesOversee and coordinate a team of employees, professional consultants, and city or county representatives to obtain all the necessary entitlements, permits, approvals, and plans to install infrastructureEnsure the land development plans are designed in the most efficient and cost-effective way which will achieve the government, utility and community requirements and division objectivesDefine the scopes of work for each land development projectSolicit and evaluate bids and award the contracts consistent with the scopes of work for each land development projectEnsure each land development project stays on schedule and within budgetHire, motivate and direct a team of employees to achieve objectivesCommunicate clearly, accurately, and timely regarding the status of schedules, budgets and potential issues related to the entitlement, forward planning, and land development of each projectProvide input on selection of subdivision details for amenities and all common areasProvide support in preparation of internal documents/reports for approval of acquisitionsConducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyAbility to travel overnightD.R.
