Job DescriptionWe are looking to appoint a Director of Food and Beverage at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort to add crucial value to our experienced and high preforming team.
This integral position will see you responsible for the performance, profitability and strategic direction of Oaks Cypress Lakes food and beverage operations. In this position, you will draw on your experience, initiative, drive and strategic approach to improve practices and ensure the restaurants, bar and function centre are running at optimum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Lead 2 restaurants, bar, and the function centre to achieve profitable and successful operationsDevelop and implement strategic revenue plans for the Food and Beverage outletsIdentify key areas for improvement across the outlets, developing strategic procedures for improvementPrepare, evaluate and report on financial budgets and resultsDevelop consistency through engineering of menus, training and technology support systemsEducate, develop and motivate Managers to ensure a high preforming team culture is maintainedWork closely with the Department Managers to recruit, establish KPI’s and track staff performanceMonitor and develop systems and processes to ensure all Food and Beverage outlets comply with applicable health and safety regulations, legislation and company policies and proceduresQualificationsTo be successful in this role you will require the following:
Tertiary qualification in Business or Hospitality ManagementCulinary qualification (not essential but will be viewed favourably)Extensive experience in progressive Food & Beverage roles (with sufficient experience at an executive level) with proven outcomes managing restaurantsExperience working with local, regional and national vendorsAdvanced experience and understanding of hotel and stand-alone restaurant operationsStrong staff management experience, with the ability to lead, develop and motivate a high preforming teamStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain stakeholder relationshipsAdditional InformationAt Minor Hotels, we value our people as the heart of our success.
