The Opportunity

As Director of Food Beverage, you will provide senior leadership across all food and beverage operations at Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill. Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will shape the strategic direction, performance and guest experience across the restaurant, bar, and lounge, in-room dining and event spaces. Leading a team of approximately 60 FB colleagues, your direct reports will include Assistant Food Beverage Manager, Restaurant Manager and Bar Manager.

This is a senior role within a large-scale London hotel operation with a strong food and beverage focus, offering the opportunity to lead and inspire sizeable teams while evolving a well established programme in a competitive city market.

What you will do as Director of Food Beverage

Lead, inspire and develop a high performing food and beverage team, fostering a culture of care, collaboration and genuine hospitality.

Oversee all food and beverage operations including The Montagu Kitchen, Churchill Bar Terrace, in room dining and event catering, ensuring consistently high standards and memorable guest experiences.

Work closely with culinary and beverage leaders to evolve menus, enhance concepts and maintain relevance within London’s dynamic dining and bar scene.

Drive service excellence across daily operations, private dining and large scale events, ensuring thoughtful execution and personalised service.

Drive and lead the financial performance of the food and beverage division including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, revenue optimisation and profitability.

Contribute to the annual business planning process and longer term food and beverage strategy for the hotel.

Use guest feedback, colleague insight and performance data to guide continuous improvement and innovation.

Champion colleague development through structured training, coaching and succession planning.

Promote sustainability, responsible sourcing and wellbeing across all food and beverage operations.

Create an inclusive working environment where colleagues feel valued, supported and empowered to be their best.

About you

You are an experienced senior food and beverage leader within the luxury or upper upscale hotel sector, with a proven ability to lead large, diverse teams in a high volume environment. You bring a strong understanding of service excellence, commercial performance and people development, alongside a genuine passion for food, beverage and hospitality.

Experience working in a similar role in London is highly advantageous. You are a visible, confident leader who balances strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and is motivated by developing people as much as driving results.
