Oneida Golf & Country Club is pleased to announce an exceptional opportunity for a Director of Food & Beverage. This leadership role is responsible for delivering an outstanding member and guest experience across all food and beverage operations, including à la carte dining, banquets, events, pool, and on-course service. Oneida Golf and Country Club’s annual food and beverage revenue will generate more than $2.5M in 2026.

The Director of Food & Beverage will provide hands-on leadership to both front-of-house and culinary teams, play an active role in menu development, and maintain strong financial oversight of the department. The ideal candidate is a visible, engaged leader with a passion for hospitality, a strong attention to detail, and a proven record of managing high-quality food and beverage operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership & Member Experience: Partner proactively with the General Manager to support the Club’s goals, vision, and strategic objectives. Lead by example with a hands-on, team-oriented leadership style. Working side by side with staff to deliver exceptional member experiences is highly encouraged. Create a strong “sense of place” that reflects the Club’s family-oriented culture, diverse membership, and variety of dining and event offerings. Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager to develop creative, high-quality menus for all outlets and events, while ensuring pricing supports financial objectives. Maintain a strong presence throughout food and beverage outlets, engaging with members, visiting tables, and welcoming feedback. Build trust with members through consistent visibility, communication, and operational excellence. Lead during peak business periods, demonstrating energy, professionalism, and service excellence. Establish and uphold high standards of hospitality, service, cleanliness, and appearance throughout all food, beverage, and clubhouse facilities. Recruit, interview, hire, train, schedule, evaluate, and develop staff; address performance issues and resolve concerns in a timely and professional manner. Serve as a consistent evaluator and mentor of team members, fostering accountability, growth, and engagement. Attend and participate in Club committee meetings as directed by the General Manager. Partner with Troon leadership to identify development, advancement, and succession opportunities for food and beverage team members across the organization. Financial & Operational Management: Prepare and manage departmental budgets, including forecasting food, labor, and operating expenses; monitor performance and take corrective action as needed. Ensure effective staffing and scheduling across food & beverage, pool, and beverage cart operations, balancing fiscal responsibility with member satisfaction. Utilize systems, technology, and regular inventory controls to enhance operational efficiency and financial performance. Perform additional duties as needed to enhance member and guest satisfaction or as assigned by Club leadership.
Initial Priorities: Evaluate and establish appropriate standards for food and beverage operations, service execution, and delivery. Build strong relationships with members through visibility, engagement, and personalized service. Implement effective daily, weekly, and monthly communication across all clubhouse teams. Develop and mentor leadership talent within both front-of-house and culinary teams. Learn the strengths, backgrounds, and experience of tenured team members to foster a “lead with care” culture. Elevate member events by introducing creativity, variety, and thoughtful enhancements to Club favorites.
Candidate Qualifications: Minimum of 3–5 years of food and beverage management experience. Four-year college degree preferred but not required. Culinary/ Back of House experience preferred but not required. Significant hospitality and service leadership experience required. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous improvement. Proven ability to lead teams, manage financial performance, and deliver high-quality service. Employment Eligibility:
