We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Food & Beverage to lead and elevate our culinary and service operations at Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas. This role is responsible for overseeing all F&B operations across our award-winning restaurants, bars, and in-villa dining, ensuring brand excellence, financial success, innovation, and unparalleled guest satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate and strategic leader with a deep understanding of luxury hospitality, guest experience enhancement, and revenue optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Brand Standards
Implement and uphold Anantara Kihavah’s luxury brand standards in all F&B outlets.Develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue growth, service excellence, and operational efficiency.Lead concept innovation, menu development, and promotional campaigns to enhance guest experiences.Ensure F&B operations align with Anantara’s global brand positioning and sustainability initiatives.2. Food & Beverage Operations & Innovation
Oversee the management of all restaurants, bars, in-villa dining, and banquet services.Introduce exclusive, experiential dining concepts, including underwater dining, wine pairing events, and destination dining.Organize F&B training workshops and service standard enhancements for staff.Ensure smooth execution of restaurant and bar renovations, maintaining authenticity and concept integrity.Stay updated with global culinary trends, fine dining innovations, and sustainability practices.3. Financial Performance & Revenue Growth
Develop and manage annual F&B budgets, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.Work with finance and revenue teams to establish optimal pricing strategies and menu engineering.Maximize revenue through banqueting, special events, and private dining experiences.Build strong relationships with suppliers and partners to secure high-quality ingredients at the best value.4. Guest Experience & Quality Assurance
Drive exceptional guest experiences by ensuring seamless service and high-quality food presentation.Implement guest feedback systems, mystery audits, and regular quality assessments.Maintain compliance with health & safety regulations, HACCP standards, and food hygiene best practices.Collaborate with the culinary team to refine menu offerings and elevate presentation standards.5. People Management & Training
Lead and mentor F&B managers, chefs, and service teams, fostering a culture of excellence.Identify recruitment and succession planning needs to strengthen the F&B leadership pipeline.Develop and enforce SOPs and service manuals for all F&B outlets.Work closely with HR and Learning & Development teams to support ongoing training initiatives.6. Purchasing, Supply Chain & Sustainability
Oversee purchasing, stock control, and procurement processes for cost efficiency.Work with local suppliers and international distributors to ensure premium quality produce.Implement sustainability initiatives, such as zero-waste programs, eco-friendly packaging, and ethical sourcing.Regularly inspect storage, inventory control, and supply chain operations to ensure efficiency.7. Special Events & VIP Guest Experiences
Curate exclusive culinary events, themed dining nights, and private dining experiences.Personalize dining experiences for VIP guests, celebrities, and high-net-worth individuals.Collaborate with marketing and PR teams to promote F&B experiences across digital and luxury travel channels.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field.5+ years of senior F&B leadership experience in luxury hospitality, with at least 2 years as a Director. Maldives luxury hotel experience will be an added advantage.Strong experience in fine dining, destination dining, and bespoke culinary experiences.Expertise in cost control, budgeting, revenue management, and menu engineering.Proven ability to develop and implement F&B concepts, seasonal promotions, and guest engagement strategies.Deep understanding of luxury service standards, guest personalization, and cultural dining preferences.Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills.Additional InformationMinor Hotels Official Site
