The Opportunity

Valvoline is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Fleet to lead and expand our national commercial business. This individual will oversee all aspects of Valvoline’s fleet operations, including strategic sales growth, client relations, operational performance, and service proposition. The ideal candidate is a data-driven leader with a deep understanding of building commercial service strategy, customer-centric strategies, and cross-functional team leadership.

In the role, you would be responsible for:

Develop and execute the long-term vision and strategy for Valvoline’s fleet business, aligned with company goals.Leading the sales organization to ensure we are managing and growing the existing customer base, while acquiring new customers to deliver the year over year growth targets for this business unit. Establish strategic sales approach to drive incremental sales growth for fleet management companies, regional and local commercial accounts, and municipalities.Partnering with the broader Valvoline organization on new service delivery initiatives and strategic partnerships and build the sales approach and execution in order to achieve the sales targets for these initiatives.Defining future state sales organization structure to maximize cross BU synergies and better align teams to Valvoline’s goals.Coaching, mentoring and developing a team of world class sellers and value creators, helping team members reach personal and professional goals while delivering top line business results.Working with cross functional IT, Customer and Analytics teams to ensure the sales team is provided actionable data to allow for a more targeted focus and understanding where we have opportunities/gaps with our existing customer base. Partnering with marketing to implement marketing communication streams with our new and existing customers that can drive deeper engagement with our existing customers as well as increase the number of acquisition targets in the top of the funnel.Establishing commercial sales approach that can be leveraged to ramp up new company markets/stores quicker. Defining and document standardized business review procedures help the Commercial sales team better articulate the value created by working with Valvoline Fleet Solutions.


What You’ll Need

Bachelors DegreeMinimum of 12 years sales management experienceA successful and hands on track record of leading a sales organization that consistently achieves sales objectives.P&L management and long-range strategic planning experienceGreat organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across business units to achieve initiatives.Must be successful in growing market share through innovative sales strategies and disciplined sales execution.Effective communication skills required to provide visibility and gain alignment from senior leadership on the strategies and tactics in place to deliver on aggressive sales targets. Must be proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office, and ZohoMust be authorized to work in the U.S.
