Director of Financial Reporting
Summary of Position (Job Purpose)  -  Major purpose and functions of the position.
Responsible for the timely and accurate monthly closing of the general ledger.  Responsible for quarterly, annual and other periodic required filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).  Responsible for the Company’s compliance with Rule 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.  Responsible for managing the annual financial statement audit and quarterly reviews.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities  -  Primary responsibilities listed in order of importanceManage the timely and accurate preparation and distribution of the financial statements on a monthly basisPrepare and file SEC Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K within the required deadlinesEnsure the maintenance of proper documentation of accounting policies and procedures and control activitiesReview or prepare workpapers required for the financial statement audit and the quarterly reviewsCoordinate the quarterly communication with the Audit CommitteeOversee the process for the timely reconciliation of all balance sheet and certain income statement general ledger accountsPrepare and/or review certain monthly account reconciliations for reasonableness and accuracySummarize and evaluate the implementation of new accounting standards and reporting issues involving publicly filed documentsSupervise, support and develop the direct reports listed aboveAssist the VP - Controller with his/her responsibilities and work on special projects when appropriate
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications -  Summary of knowledge, experience and education required.CPA or suitable equivalentCollege degree in AccountingStrong financial technical knowledge and analytical skillsThree or more years in public accounting, including participation in the audits of publicly held companies or equivalent experienceGood communication and supervisory skills
