About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to lead the Accounting Finance Division. In this role, you will ensure the effective implementation of all financial policies and procedures, compliance with Hyatt International standards and local regulations, and optimal utilization of resources. As a key member of the Leadership, you will provide financial insights, safeguard the hotel’s assets, and support long-term success through accurate reporting and strategic planning.
Key Responsibility
Ensure effective implementation of all Accounting Finance and Information Systems policies and procedures, maintaining compliance with Hyatt International standards and local regulations.
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accurate reporting, administration, and internal control systems to safeguard hotel assets.
Prepare, review, and interpret monthly financial statements, reports, and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely submission of data to Hyperion.
Manage cash flow, banking relationships, tax obligations, and compliance with government regulations.
Supervise payroll management and resource allocation strategies, ensuring flexibility and efficiency based on business needs.
Maintain complete and supported accounting records and implement local procedures approved by area or corporate offices.
Administer procurement processes, monitor market surveys, and ensure best pricing and adherence to budget.
Oversee Information Systems to guarantee optimal utilization, security, and license compliance.
Liaise with auditors, legal consultants, and insurance agents to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance.
Support the General Manager in budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure planning, providing financial insights for strategic decisions.
Ensure departmental operations manuals are prepared and updated annually, and conduct weekly Accounting Finance meetings that are efficient and results-oriented.
Adhere to hotel policies on fire, hygiene, health, and safety, maintaining professional appearance and behavior at all times.
Handle guest and employee inquiries courteously and efficiently, ensuring follow-up and resolution.
Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing Accounting Finance team aligned with Hyatt’s philosophy of multi-skilling and multi-tasking.
Conduct yearly performance appraisals, provide regular feedback, and foster productivity, morale, and discipline within the team.
Recommend improvements in accounting and internal control procedures and provide approved statistics to external parties.
Adapt to changes in the Accounting Finance function as required and undertake any reasonable tasks assigned by the General Manager.
