Kforce has a client in Columbia, MD that is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Director of Finance to lead financial operations in a government contracting environment. This role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with FAR, DFARS, DCAA audit requirements, and other federal regulations. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in government cost accounting, contract compliance, and financial leadership to support the company's growth and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance * Ensure full compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS (Cost Accounting Standards), and DCAA audit requirements * Lead the preparation and submission of Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS) and other required government reports * Manage indirect rate structures (e.g., fringe, overhead, G&A) and support pricing strategies for proposals * Collaborate with Contracts, Program Management, and Business Development to support compliant and competitive bids * Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure financial integrity and regulatory compliance * Lead audits and reviews by external agencies including DCAA, DCMA, and independent auditors * Provide strategic financial guidance to executive leadership and support long-term planning * Supervise and mentor finance staff, fostering a culture of compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement * Oversee ERP system utilization and enhancements to support government contracting requirements
