Salary Range: $122,176-$205,357

 

The Director of Finance reports to the Division Controller, International Freight Forwarding, supporting divisional accounting, budgeting, forecasting, accounts receivable and accounts payable. This individual is responsible for working with the Division Controller to oversee accounting and finance operations, including the production of financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and the enforcement of a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the Business unit's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. 

Responsibilities Business partnership with divisional leadership teamDevelop and coordinate the financial divisional financial analysis activity in conjunction with the corporate financial analysis departmentPreparation and analysis of divisional monthly financial statementsCoordination and development of the division’s annual budgets and financial forecastsOversee cost control efforts to minimize divisional costs such as overhead (DOH) expenses, operating expenses etc. through timely reporting of such expenses throughout the region and escalation of these reports to divisional and corporate managementMaintenance and development of both financial and operational KPI and reporting in Power BI dashboards on a daily/weekly/monthly basisDevelop, review and monitor the division’s capital investment projects to be presented to the investment committee and if approved executed by the divisionCoordinate with corporate AR/AP team to manage the division’s accounts receivable and accounts payableResponsible for ensuring divisional adherence to corporate financial controls and proceduresAssist in the coordination of the company’s internal and JSOX auditsAssist with the design and execution of remediation efforts for identified deficienciesAll other projects as deemed appropriate by the Division Controller Qualifications BA in Accounting/Finance - Advanced degree MBA, CPA a plus7-10 years of experience, preferably in the Logistics/Transportation/Supply Chain industry; 5 years of experience supervising other employeesProven ability to build relationships at all levelsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailDeadline orientedExcellent communication skills both written and verbal; strong presentation and interpersonal skills.Detailed knowledge of general accounting procedures and financial statements.Accuracy and precision in mathematical functionsAdvanced knowledge of computerized accounting systems and MS Office
