Nordstrom
Job Description
Come join us in a key leadership role revolutionizing Nordstrom’s data landscape! We are transforming a set of batch-centric data marts into a cutting-edge Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) that collects, transforms, stores, and serves critical data and insights across all facets of Nordstrom’s business.
Our new Enterprise Data Platform (EDP), powered by Google Cloud Platform (GCP), provides a wide range of data services, from raw source event data to highly processed insights and business intelligence (BI). EDP is an event-first, streaming, that powers Nordstrom’s data ecosystem. The platform is designed to meet the needs of a diverse set of users, including data scientists, analysts, engineers, and business leaders. Regardless of the use case, our customers depend on us for high-quality, timely, and trusted data.
In this role, you will lead efforts to optimize the platform, ensure the seamless ingestion and curation of data, and deliver actionable insights to support decision-making across the organization. You will be instrumental in ensuring the platform’s BI capabilities are best-in-class, enabling data-driven decision-making at scale.
At Nordstrom, we believe the role of a leader is to support the needs of their team. In this role, you will support a large team of engineers, data engineers, and data analysts, including your own leadership team of senior engineering managers and engineering managers. As a Director of the Insights Delivery Team, you will be at the heart of data, and analytics for the entire company. You will raise the technology bar for your team, helping them deliver their best work.
