Director of Enterprise Applications (D365 F&O) Job Description The Enterprise Applications Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration and ensuring the stability of the organization’s financial systems portfolio, with a primary focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O). The role serves as a critical link between technical system administration and the finance organization's business needs. Responsibilities include managing vendor relationships, overseeing application licensing, maintaining system integrity, and ensuring compliant access for users across all legal entities. Responsibilities + Serve as the primary operational owner of D365 F&O and other financial systems, ensuring platform stability and performance. + Maintain a comprehensive inventory of applications, integrations, and data flows, identifying gaps and opportunities for rationalization. + Partner with IT and business stakeholders to evaluate, onboard, and retire financial system components. + Monitor system health, coordinate maintenance windows, and ensure business continuity and disaster recovery planning. + Manage day-to-day vendor relationships and implementation partners, ensuring contractual obligations and service levels are met. + Lead vendor governance meetings, track open issues, and drive timely resolution. + Manage user access lifecycle for financial systems, including provisioning, modification, and termination. + Maintain a robust security role framework aligned to the principle of least privilege and Segregation of Duties (SoD) policies. + Oversee financial systems cost model and administer application licenses to ensure cost-efficiency and compliance. + Oversee master data governance and enforce data quality standards across key financial system data domains. + Administer and maintain D365 F&O system configurations and support application version upgrades. + Operate the Finance Systems help desk, providing user support and resolving system issues. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. + 8+ years of experience in finance systems administration or ERP operations; 3+ years in a leadership role. + Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O). + Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party implementation partners. + Familiarity with ERP user access management principles and Segregation of Duties (SoD) frameworks. + Experience in multi-entity environments and new legal entity deployments. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Master’s degree preferred. + CPA, CMA, or relevant technology certification (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications) preferred. + Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools; familiarity with Azure DevOps and Power Platform is a plus. + Strong understanding of finance business processes and ERP configuration. + Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Work Environment This position offers a hybrid work environment with 2-3 days onsite in Norwalk, CT, and also in NYC's financial district in Lower Manhattan. The office in Norwalk is currently being renovated, moving from the 4th to the 10th floor. The location is accessible to the South Norwalk train station, and parking expenses are covered. The Director will work closely with every function at the Corporate HQ, contributing to building out the transformation team with four openings. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norwalk, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $95.00 - $130.00/hr.
