Hyatt Regency London Olympia will be part of a major redevelopment project transforming Olympia, London's historic convention centre built in 1873, into a comprehensive convention, entertainment, and cultural district in West London. Anchored by the iconic glass barrel-vaulted roofs of the Grand and National Halls, the new 14-acre site will feature a boutique multi-screen arthouse cinema, a 4,000-capacity music and performing arts venue, a 1,500-seat theatre, a rooftop sky garden, as well as restaurants, shops, cafés, and office and co-working spaces.
Hyatt Regency London Olympia will offer 204 rooms, a bar and restaurant, as well as a lobby lounge. Additionally, there will be 3 meeting rooms and direct connectivity to the London Olympia Convention Centre.
Your main focus during pre-opening will be
Set up of the Engineering departmentTalent Acquisition/RecruitmentColleague Engagement and building a teamDuties and responsibilities related to the Director of Engineering role
Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance programme for all equipment in the hotelControl and monitor closely all utility consumption, to ensure optimum energy usage by all departments in the HotelEstablish, control and monitor closely all environmental awareness and protection programmesEnsure that the property, its systems and the operational procedures comply with all the prevailing local and national codesMaintain a comprehensive library of manuals and parts list of all operational equipment, as well as a complete set of up-to-date drawings of all areas and systemsWork closely with other departments in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guestsAssist with the preparation of the annual and revised Engineering budgetsCoach, mentor and develop the team, providing regular feedbackAbout you
You will have a relevant background in a similar role in the five-star market. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential. You will have a strong understanding of UK building regulations as well as health safety legislation. Hotel pre-opening and mixed-use complex experience is beneficial.
