Job Description: Director of Engineering, Private Cloud Engineered Systems Integration

We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Engineered Systems Integration Leader to drive the strategy, development, and seamless integration of Private Cloud solutions. This high-impact role will play a key part in shaping engineering direction, architecture, and the successful execution of strategic programs across the organization
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Engineering Leadership: Lead engineering teams, promote innovation, collaboration, and improvement.Manage design, architecture, integration, release, and lifecycle of complex systems for compatibility, performance, and reliability.Develop integration strategies for Private Cloud Solutions aligned with organizational goals.Cloud Automation and Security: Lead strategic initiatives to automate cloud operations, upgrades, and deployments. Manage cloud security strategies and ensure comprehensive identity and access management practices.Maintain Scalability and Robustness: Implement systems to monitor performance, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security of integrated private cloud solutions.Governance and Compliance: Enforce strict standards for production readiness and release. Ensure adherence to internal and industry security and operational standards.Cross-functional Coordination: Work with business stakeholders, technical leaders, cross-functional teams, and development teams to identify integration challenges, integrate hardware and software, and propose solutions for private cloud implementations.Agile & Process Coach: Implement and sustain Agile practices, process workflows, and documentation frameworks for systems integration, utilizing tools like Airflow, Jira, and Aha! for effective project tracking and task management.Building and Leading High-Impact Teams: Develop and cultivate high-performing engineering teams, fostering innovation, accountability, and professional development.Executive Level Communication: Deliver clear executive reports and insights. Present strategic recommendations, risk assessments, and business impact analyses to senior management.Delivery Optimization and Alignment: Focus on improving Day -1 through Day N processes, helping HPE Services partners to achieve quicker results.Thought Leadership: Offer direction to the value chain, customers, and product management teams for consistent integration strategies and advancement of solutions.Technology Leadership: Keep up to date with AI and Virtualization trends and apply them in Private Cloud Solutions to improve systems integration and project results.Qualifications:
Proven leadership experience in systems integration around Private Cloud Solutions and related domains.Expertise in Kubernetes, containers, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.Strong expertise in systems engineering principles, design, and technologies, with demonstrated experience in managing complex engineered systems.Understanding of cloud security principles and identity management tools such as Keycloak.Experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous integration.Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in navigating AI, private cloud-specific, and partner-driven challengesExperience in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and SAFe frameworks.Track record in managing complex technical projects and cross-functional teams.Understanding and application of core storage, compute and networking technologies along with Virtualization, Microservices, Distributed Systems Architecture etc.Proficiency in tools such as Airflow, Jira, and Aha! for project tracking, workflow optimization, and task management.Education and Experience Required:
First level university degree or equivalent experience required. May have advanced university degree.Typically 15 or more years of related work experience, including 10 years of people management experience.Knowledge and Skills:
Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution.Organizational and strategic management skills, including budget and business planning and forecasting.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.Ability to manage human capital across multiple geographies and organizations to drive workforce development and achieve desired results.Advanced communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences. (e.g. written, verbal, presentation); mastery in English and local language.Extensive business acumen, technical knowledge, and industry experience encompassing one or more engineering, technology, and product domains.Advanced multi-tasking and prioritization skills.Advanced relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting with senior management and executive roles for internal and external partners.Good understanding of the company's policies and processes.Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI, and automation, particularly in Private Cloud systems.Expertise in compliance standards and regulatory requirements pertaining to private clouds, sovereign clouds, and associated processes.Impact/Scope:
Collaborates across functions to deliver multidisciplinary engineering solutions.Typically interacts with high-level Individual Contributors, Managers, Directors, and VPs and SVPs for internal and external suppliers, partners, and customers.Drives large and complex cross-organizational business initiatives.This role is ideal for a forward-thinking leader passionate about integrating cutting-edge systems, optimizing critical processes, staying ahead of industry trends, and shaping the engineering strategy and success of high-impact programs.
