WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Join Nike’s Global Supply Chain Technology Organization as the Director of Distribution & Outbound Transportation Engineering. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the engineering vision and roadmap for Nike’s global Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including Manhattan Active WM and custom services. You’ll shape the future of Nike’s distribution and transportation platforms, driving innovation, scalability, and resilience across our global supply chain.
Lead a multi-squad engineering team to deliver world-class supply chain solutionsDefine and execute the technology strategy for global inventory platforms, KPIs, and fitness functionsPartner with product and business leaders to elevate Nike’s consumer fulfillment experienceChampion cloud-native, decoupled, and edge-facing services with a focus on scalability and flexibilityDrive flawless execution—on time and under budget—using data-driven iteration and agile methodologiesBuild and nurture high-performing, diverse engineering teams through servant leadershipRepresent Nike’s technology vision across internal and external forumsWHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Qualifications, Business and Team Leadership
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering.15+ years leading diverse engineering teams, including multiple managers and squads.8-10+ years of being a practitioner/ hands-on software engineering experience.And 4-5 years in management role planning, building, maintaining and managing technology, leading teams.Business & Stakeholder Alignment

Deep expertise in global WMS platforms (preferably Manhattan Active WM or WMoS)Experience with TMS (preferably Blue Yonder) preferredProven success delivering cloud-native microservices and edge-facing applicationsStrong background in Agile, DevOps (CI/CD), and distributed/cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)Experience with Java, Node.js, or Scala; RESTful services; NoSQL (Cassandra, DynamoDB, MongoDB); and RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle)Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk, SignalFx, and New RelicDemonstrated ability to launch new microservices and manage legacy systemsProven experience building AI/ML-driven supply chain solutions
