Job details The Director of Development serves as a key regional leader responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding community impact within the Savannah and Augusta markets. This dual-focus role balances high-level strategic fundraising with meaningful client engagement to support the mission of the organization.

Responsibilities: ... Collaborate with the Director of Community Engagement and Chief Community Engagement Officer (CCEO) to develop annual fundraising goals and objectives.
Collaborate with the Community Engagement Team to design and implement a comprehensive development program and appropriate marketing strategies.
Support the expansion and increase in patient programs/events in the identified market area.
Coordinate patient programs/activities for patients and family members in identified market area.
Identify, define, and acquire funding resources available to the agency.
Seek new corporate/foundation funding sources and maintain relationship with current/past donors.
Represent company in meetings with potential funding sources.
Cultivate corporate support for special events, fundraising initiatives, and patient programs.
Cultivate corporations and community organizations and educate them about bleeding disorders.
Actively support in annual fundraising events
Collaborate closely with volunteer committees.
Work closely with the Communications Team to develop and implement materials to promote and publicize patient programs and fundraising events, along with developing content for the Development section of website.
Develop budget and schedule for fundraising events and/or campaigns and follow-up.
Collaborate with the Community Engagement team to develop a plan for recruiting, training, and retaining company volunteers to support events and programs where appropriate.
Maintain donor records and review annually for accuracy.
Collaborate with team members to develop/execute annual fundraising objectives, campaigns/initiatives, patient programs and achieve the team goals.
Participate in the development of the organization strategic plan and prepare progress reports for department?s portion of the plan.
Update Director of Community Engagement and CCEO on progress achieved with fundraising, patient programs, committee work, and development activities.

Bachelor?s degree is required.
Minimum five (5) years? non-profit development experience required.

Proven/demonstrated success with execution/leading nonprofit fundraising campaigns, patient programs, special events and initiatives.
Experience in research, soliciting, and coordination of fundraising activities including but not limited to special events, yearly fundraising campaigns, and special funding initiatives.
Experience working independently and as member of a team.
Experience is goal setting and strategic planning.
Experience in creation and/or development of special events and/or patient programs. Includes evaluation and quality improvement of all programs, events/campaigns.
Ability to work without supervision, to use independent judgment, and to make appropriate decisions.
Above average communication skills are required and ability to maintain confidentiality.
High level of interpersonal skills to manage sensitive situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
