WHO YOU ARE

You have experience in customer experience strategy, marketing strategy, omni-channel engagement, product management, or customer relationship marketing at a B2C company, consulting firm, or agency.

REQUIRED SKILLS At least 7 years of experience in a consulting or marketing-related field, including a leadership (ideally Director-level or equivalent/above) role A proven track record of driving business results through the use of 1st party customer data and primary research results to build strategies and tactics A solid understanding of the omni-channel experience, including knowledge of how individual marketing channels should be leveraged to drive the overall experience Direct experience with planning or executing marketing programs, initiatives, and/or campaigns (across multiple of the following: digital marketing, direct marketing, CRM, omni-channel marketing, communications/PR, brand marketing, social media, or loyalty) Client-facing or internal consulting experience with a history of building strong client relationships Expertise in PowerPoint-based storytelling Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft a compelling story to motivate and align stakeholders Working knowledge of the marketing technology landscape Working knowledge of various media channels and media planning Proven experience in leading cross-functional initiatives and teams BEYOND YOUR TITLE You are a natural problem solver who loves the thrill of tackling complex problems You’re passionate about understanding customers and their relationships with a brand You connect dots, finding commonalities across initiatives, functions, and efforts to drive impact You enjoy having variety in your day-to-day work You have a proven ability to work with cross-functional teams You are comfortable with ambiguity and have the ability to drive toward clarity You have a strength in consulting with senior levels of an organization You love to use data to make strategic decisions You’re curious and open to new ideas, seeking to dig deeper to find answers and always willing to learn new skills and concepts. As the Director of Customer Strategy, you will help our clients deepen customer relationships to maximize the value of their customer portfolio. Every client engagement is unique, but typical projects often include:

Assessing our clients’ omni-channel marketing and engagement strategies, and providing strategic recommendations for improving customer experiences and engagement Designing strategies for personalization, loyalty programs, and mobile apps that connect customer needs to strategic business outcomes Identifying opportunities to leverage AI in customer interactions Identifying the right marketing technology partners to support client’s business strategies, and helping to create plans to effectively leverage tools/platforms and ensure effective integration and rollouts Translating business and customer objectives into customer engagement plans across marketing, digital, stores, and merchandising Designing a customer-oriented operating model and helping clients to evolve towards this operating model Building and defining brand strategy to guide customer experience strategy across physical interactions, digital interactions, marketing, and product Partnering with our data science team to identify implications of their analyses, craft client presentations, and provide strategic recommendations based on those findings Mapping and redesigning the customer journey to improve the customer experience Building compelling presentations for executive leadership teams, boards of directors, and investors Working with a cross functional team comprising of members across Online, Store Operations, Creative, Merchandising, Technology, and Finance to drive alignment
