Director of Commercial Property, Corporate Underwriting responsibilities: Set, refine, and maintain underwriting guidelines and standards Serve as the primary technical resource supporting multiple profit centers Identify trends and opportunities to support profitable growth Lead and mentor a team, enhancing technical capabilities and leadership skills Collaborate with other functional teams to support business objectives Engage with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen relationships Stay ahead of industry trends while ensuring regulatory compliance Oversee operational activities to drive efficiency, productivity, and alignment with underwriting strategy The successful candidate has: 10+ years of commercial property insurance experience 3+ years in a leadership role Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Strong knowledge of the insurance industry Excellent communication and stakeholder skills Compensation and benefits: Competitive salary range based on experience Comprehensive benefits and wellness programs 4 weeks of vacation plus 50/50 hybrid work model Professional development support (CIP, FCIP, CRM, leadership) Community engagement through volunteer days and donation matching Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
