Director of Commercial (Maternity Cover - Fixed Term Contract)
Job Description

OUR PURPOSE AND CULTURE

We are driven to create a future where people and place enrich one another. We are wholly committed to rooting ourselves more deeply in every place we are in while setting new benchmarks for positive impact. As a pioneering collective with a common purpose, we curate extraordinary moments and honor the soul of every place along our journey. At Rosewood Hotel Group, we answer The Calling. Together, we Make the Place.

YOUR ROLE

The position is full time and is being offered on a 9-month fixed term contract basis to cover maternity leave, with a potential to convert to a permanent role. You will play a key leadership role within the hotel, directly supporting the Senior Leadership Team.

The ideal candidate will serve as a pivotal leader, entrusted with shaping the hotel’s commercial vision and driving revenue growth initiatives. Reporting directly to the Managin Director, this position oversees the commercial team to cultivate strategic partnerships, unlock new business opportunities, and guarantee flawless execution of commercial activities across all channels, ensuring the continued success and prestige of our luxury brand.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

You are a key member of our Executive Team: With strategic vision, professionalism, and a deep understanding of guest needs, you represent our hotel’s values with confidence and elegance, ensuring our brand is consistently positioned at the highest level.

Strategic leadership: You report directly to the Managing Director of the hotel and bring your strategic expertise to shaping sales initiatives and achieving ambitious revenue goals.

Team Empowerment: You inspire, lead, and develop a passionate sales team, fostering motivation, collaboration, and excellence while ensuring strategic goals are achieved.

Revenue Responsibility: You assume full accountability for key performance indicators, including occupancy, average daily rate, total revenue, RevPAR, and market share. By monitoring and optimizing these metrics, you drive sustainable growth and ensure the hotel’s competitive positioning in the ultra-luxury market.

Relationship building: You cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with key clients and business partners — both locally and internationally.

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU
At Rosewood Hotel Group, your voice is heard – and valued. We’re a community that encourages associates to be themselves, not fit into a fixed culture, and this philosophy shines through in our commitments to reflect and honor the history, culture and geography of our destinations. We’re not only committed to building and nurturing genuine, long-lasting relationships but to transforming them – and our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy helps put these principles into practice.
