Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.
Responsible for the overall management, supervision, and operation of the childcare program for McLeod Health
employees.
Serve as the primary liaison between the childcare program and McLeod Health.
Develop and implement program policies in alignment with state licensing, quality initiatives, and McLeod Health
policies.
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise teachers and support staff
Foster a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide coaching and technical assistance
Ensure delivery of developmentally appropriate, engaging curriculum that aligns with best practices in early
childhood education
Monitor classroom practices and learning outcomes
Implement programs to support families and work-life balance
Handle inquiries, tours, family concerns promptly and professionally
Collaborate with McLeod Health to align services with strategic initiatives
Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulatory standards
Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and staff training to ensure a safe environment
Manage supplies, equipment, and maintenance needs including building, grounds, and vehicles
Create and consistently update staffing schedule each month
Oversee student field placement experience through local schools and colleges
Develop partnerships with community and state agencies
Develop and manage center budget, payroll financial reporting
Monitor enrollment projections and track and report key performance metrics to McLeod Health
Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required for events or emergencies
Work Schedule: 80 hours-bi-weekly
Qualifications /Training:
Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a licensed childcare facility or school setting
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field
