Director of Car Care Operations

AAA Club Alliance (ACA) is hiring for a Director of Car Care Operations to join our team!

Position Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence across our Car Care operations. The Director of Car Care Operations will focus on driving consistency, standardizing processes, and ensuring accountability through effective implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and key performance indicators. This position will support Car Care leaders by translating strategic goals into actionable plans that drive efficiency, maximize profitability, and deliver an outstanding customer experience across all Car Care locations.


This position is based out of the AAA Club Alliance (ACA) Headquarters at 1 River Place, Wilmington, DE 19801. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of this office.

In addition, the role requires regular travel to ACA Car Care stores, other ACA locations, and other AAA Club locations. Candidates should expect to travel approximately 25–40% of the time.

What We Can Offer You:

Base salary range of $115,528 - $202,200 + eligibility for Annual Bonus (15% Annual Bonus Target). The base pay range shown is a guideline for compensation and ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead the development and execution of end-to-end operational strategies including inventory management, process optimization, and standardization across locations to improve profitability, efficiency, and customer experience.

Provide performance insights on service execution to support customer retention and upselling opportunities.

Collaborate on territory planning and resource alignment based on sales growth projections and market demands.

Identify underperforming areas and provide support and direction to improve outcomes.

Create, document, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all workflows.

Drive continuous improvement of workflows and best practices across branches.

Lead onboarding and continuous training for Car Care operations to ensure high performance, skills alignment, and internal talent growth.

Use financial and relevant operating data analyses to make strategic and/or tactical shifts in direction, as required, providing monthly outlook and forecast modeling of trends.

Lead the Car Care Advisory Board, fostering collaboration across internal and external stakeholders while ensuring strategic initiatives are aligned and outcomes measured.

Act as a liaison between Operations and Field leadership, ensuring clear and timely communication of priorities, challenges, and opportunities.

Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, HR, Facilities, and other support teams ensure sites are fully staffed, maintained, safe, and customer ready.

Collaborate directly with Internal Audit to ensure compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, and operational controls. Use audit insights to proactively identify risk, implement corrective actions, and enhance accountability across Car Care.

Represents ACA and Car Care Operations to the community at large.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field required. A Combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Minimum of 10 years of applicable experience in Car Care operations required.

Minimum of 8 years of leadership or management experience in a customer service and sales environment required.

Valid driver’s license is required; ability to travel routinely (25–40%).
