Overview
The Behavior Management Services (BMS) Director is responsible for the development, oversight, and implementation of behavior-analytic services for adults and individuals of all ages who do not have an autism diagnosis, but who may benefit from applied behavior analysis (ABA)–based behavior management and skill-building services. This role focuses on caregiver and stakeholder training, systems-level behavior change, and collaboration with individuals, families, residential staff, employers, and community support.
ResponsibilitiesClinical Oversight & Program Development
Design, implement, and oversee ABA-based programming for adults and non-ASD populations, targeting areas such as behavior management, adaptive skills, independent living skills, vocational readiness, and quality-of-life goals Ensure services are individualized, socially significant, ethical, and evidence-based Monitor treatment fidelity, progress, and outcomes across program implementation Adapt ABA strategies for diverse settings (home, community, residential, vocational, or group environments) based on the client’s specific needs and desiresStaff Supervision & Leadership
Supervise and mentor BCBAs, supervisees, and other clinical staff as assigned Provide clinical guidance on complex cases throughout the company, including instances involving challenging behavior and/or systems-level barriers Support staff professional development related to adult services and non-ASD populations Promote ethical decision-making within department and adherence to BACB Ethics CodeCompliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure services comply with ethical, regulatory, and payer requirements Support documentation standards, consent procedures, and confidentiality protections Participate in internal audits, quality improvement initiatives, and program evaluation Qualifications Master’s degree or higher in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field Demonstrated experience working with adults and/or individuals without an autism diagnosis Demonstrated experience in caregiver training and behavior management Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical ABA services Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing No past criminal history Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management skills Preferred Skills and Competencies Leadership or program development experience Strong public speaking, training, and consultation skills Experience navigating caregiver resistance and building long-term engagement Travel up to 75% About our Line of Business Gateway Pediatric Therapy, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is a leading provider of comprehensive pediatric therapy services.
