Description Robert Half is partnering with a growing start up clean energy development company based out of Colorado to add an experienced Director of Accounting Operations & Project Accounting. This role is 100% remote and offers excellent benefits and growth opportunities. This position is responsible for: Key Responsibilities + Lead and supervise the accounting operations team + Manage quarterly and annual close processes + Oversee the preparation and timely delivery of financial statements, management reports, and other reporting requirements + Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules + Ensure compliance with internal controls and identify opportunities for process improvements + Administer or oversee NetSuite system management + Lead operational and management reporting on a monthly basis + Oversee project and intercompany billing, fixed assets, and capitalization processes + Review capitalized cost schedules and ensure compliance with capitalization policies + Manage lease accounting reviews and documentation (ASC 842) + Partner with the financial reporting team to coordinate deliverables + Lead the annual financial statement audit and support transaction processing as needed + Maintain strong internal controls and ensure accurate accruals, prepaids, and other significant items are recorded Requirements Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required + CPA license required + 12+ years of progressive accounting experience + Strong expertise in accounting operations, project billing, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions + Experience with lease accounting, capitalization, accruals, and eliminations + Hands-on experience with NetSuite (preferred) + Proven ability to lead teams in dynamic, high-growth environments + Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently + Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills + Commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement + Ability to adapt to change, accept feedback, and develop new skills Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
