The Director of Academic Administration (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jBSpa-g1Nfnrf9iLHy-HhouEErKS9lwu/view?usp=sharing) is responsible for managing the strategic day-to-day administrative operations for all Gorham-based academic programs in the College of Management and Human Service (CMHS). Key responsibilities include supervising and supporting student-related administrative functions for multiple academic departments within CMHS and acting as a liaison to student-serving offices across the University. This position reports to the CMHS Dean and works collaboratively with other academic leaders within CMHS to ensure efficient administrative operations. Strong organizational and leadership skills are essential.
The College of Management and Human Service (https://usm.maine.edu/college-management-human-services/) offers programs on the University of Southern Maine’s Portland and Gorham campuses, and this position provides academic administrative oversight for the Gorham-based programs within the School of Education and Human Development (https://usm.maine.edu/school-education-human-development/) and the Muskie School of Public Service (https://usm.maine.edu/muskie-school-public-service/) . These include a diverse range of undergraduate and graduate programs in Adult and Higher Education, Counseling, Educational and School Psychology, Educational Public Policy, Educational Leadership, Geography-Anthropology, Literacy Education, Teacher Education, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, and Special Education.
This is a full-time position on the Gorham campus, with a starting annual salary of $58,000.
