Director – Nursing Practice

The Director – Nursing Practice provides administrative decision making, leadership, and strategic planning including the efficient and productive use of personnel, material, and financial resources. The Director establishes policy and direction for department and is accountable for department results. This leader develops, standardizes, and coordinates programs to advance nursing practice, quality, and research and oversees policy and procedure development and maintenance.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

Masters of Nursing or related field is required.Requires 7-10 years of relevant experience.Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.Requires completion Clinical Specialty Professional Certification within 1 year upon meeting eligibility requirements.
