As the Director Nursing II- Surgical Services, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing 19 operating rooms at Weston Hospital. Surgical specialties performed in the OR include Transplant, Robotics, Ortho, General, GYN, GU, ENT, Plastics, and Pain Management. Your leadership responsibilities will include partnering with the manager of the Coral Springs Ambulatory Surgery Center, ensuring efficient oversight and management of its perioperative and procedural areas.
As Director Nursing II- Surgical Services, you are responsible for ensuring the best possible patient care in your department. You will oversee daily operations, drive improvement initiatives, assure regulatory readiness, support shared governance, and collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team. Your dedication and tireless efforts will make a difference in the lives of patients, families, and visitors each day.
Caregivers in this role are salaried/exempt and work primarily days Monday-Friday. At times, this position requires flexibility in accordance with the needs of the department.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Assist with direction, coordination and management of all nursing areas.
Provide supervision and act as a resource to nurse managers, educators, clinical specialists, and staff.
Collaborate with leadership team regarding budget review, personnel management, monitoring of productivity and staff development.
Ensure communication, cooperation and understanding among staff.
Monitor adherence to CC and Nursing Institute policies and procedures.
Promote ongoing professional development of staff at all levels.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
BSN with Master's degree
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Four years of recent clinical experience
One year of health care management experience
Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Clinical experience in specialty area of position
Perioperative/procedural experience
Five years of experience in OR in acute care hospital setting
Leadership experience/charge nurse
Specialty certification (any cert)
Physical Requirements:
Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.
Note: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.
