Director IT Applications
Job Summary The Director of IT Applications works closely with key Novant Health market leaders, executives and decision makers in business departments across Novant Health and within IT to identify, align, recommend, develop, implement, and support high priority, cost-effective, quality, technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. The Director of IT Applications applies senior level leadership skills in resource placement, management, coordination, risk management, contract management, task planning, communications management and execution. The Director of IT Applications exhibits strong negotiation and influencing skills in working with project sponsors, business leaders, project managers, functional managers, support staff and software vendors. Responsible for application systems project implementations, maintenance and support activities across the enterprise for a broader, larger scope of cross functional application groupings. Works closely with the clinical informatics team to ensure focus on the appropriate organizational priorities to meet the enterprise clinical needs for clinical products. Serves as key point person for strategic vendor relationships – such as Epic and Monument. Leads special enterprise recognition projects such as Leapfrog, HIMSS level 7 certification, and Business Continuity readiness. Qualifications + Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Graduate Degree, preferred. + Experience: Minimum five years demonstrated management experience, required. + Additional skills required: Excellent communication skills, proven leadership skills and technical knowledge.
