Your role:
To strengthen our corporate tax department, we are seeking a Director for the International and M&A Tax area. You will become part of our team and report directly to the Head of International and M&A Tax. In this role, you will closely collaborate with colleagues from the tax department and serve as a key contact for other corporate departments regarding the tax assessment of business investments, restructuring, and capital measures. You will independently advise foreign subsidiaries on cross-border matters and manage national and international special projects, coordinating with external advisors as needed. The purpose of this role solves the challenge of optimizing tax strategies by implementing effective tax planning and compliance measures. Currently, our team consists of 8 members with a structure of 5 tax advisors and 3 project managers. The role is based in Darmstadt, Germany. We also offer flexible remote work options up to 3 days a week.

 

Who you are:

You have successfully completed the second state examination in law or hold a degree (Diploma/Master) in law, business administration, or a comparable field, along with passing the tax advisor examination.You possess at least 8-10 years of professional experience in international tax law within an auditing/tax consulting firm or in the tax department of an internationally operating company.You have in-depth knowledge of national and international tax law.Working in complex national or cross-border restructurings and in the comprehensive tax support of M&A projects.You are a team player and demonstrate a high level of initiative and commitment.You have fluent English skills and communicate confidently in international and intercultural contexts.
