Job Description
Direct the infrastructure activities in a division of a major global organization.Manages the selection, purchase and installation of data processing equipment, ensuring proper approvals and authorizations are acquired.Provides recommendations concerning the units' interagency agreements, contracts and major expenditures.Manages the implementation of standards and practices.Plans long, intermediate, or short-range goals and objectives.Assists in the planning and direction of one or more large computer centers.Meets with business unit executives, users, vendors and supervisory personnel to discuss and resolve infrastructure problems, projects and administrative issues.Directs and monitors infrastructure functions through subordinate managers.Prepares timely communication to executive management providing status of all infrastructure services and systems.Participation in Global projects as required.
Responsibilities
Manage theDSC NORAMRun Team – Budgets, Rebills and day to day for the team of 6 responsible for E4 ticket management, root cause resolution implementation collaborating with ITS, DSC Regional, DSC Global, Global Support teams, Site Operations, BUIT and strategic vendors like AT&T, Decision Point etc.Collaborate with the ISM Build\\Delivery Team on new Site deployments and implementation improvements.Maintenance and upkeep of ServiceNow Site and MDM data, including bi-annual audits Monthly review and reporting on the Incident volumes and trends and acting on opportunities to reduce incidents and incident duration.Quarterly review with BUIT on their Sector performance, project updates, upcoming change calendar focusing on the Sector view with a focus to improve service and communication.Escalation path on Problems and Incidents for Operations, BUIT, Service Desk, Strategic partners and Global Service disruptions.Collaboration with Global ISM and Regional ITS on PC software licensing and compliance remediation.Schedule\\Manage the Yearlychangecalendar with Global ITS, AT&T and other Strategic Partners.Yearly DR test, Software Updates, Scanners, Firewalls etc.UPS Management - Monthly monitoring of UPS for battery faults or chassis failures and coordinate replacements with Site Operations.
Required Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience infrastructure management, requiredThree years of management experience supervising infrastructure and subordinates and their units
