The Director in Training role is designed as a developmental position to build the foundational leadership and operational skills necessary to transition into a Director of Operations role. This position follows a progressive path over approximately 6 months, offering hands-on exposure to various aspects of the business. In this position, you will serve the City Wide Facility Solutions - Kansas City, one of more than 100 markets covered across the United States and Canada.

What you will do...
Lead and oversee night operations to ensure quality service, client satisfaction, and adherence to company standards. Manage and support night teams, address issues in real-time, and communicate effectively with leadership. Gain a deep understanding of frontline operations, service execution, and quality control. Manage a portfolio of client accounts, providing high-touch service, proactive communication, and problem solution. Develop vendor relationships, ensure compliance with contract terms. Identify opportunities for account growth and process improvements. Effectively manage, develop, and lead a team of Facility Solutions Managers (FSMs) that support our clients. Responsible for achieving annual revenues and profits, managing expenses, Independent Contractor (IC) margins, managing temporary labor (if applicable), and meeting/exceeding overall financial management of the operations of services offered Responsible for identifying, hiring, and training all operational employees, including but not limited to, FSM’s and Night Managers. Develop and maintain positive client relationships and achieve client retention above 90%. Develop and maintain impactful, professional relationships with vendors and Independent Contractors. Ensure ICs are compliant with requirements to service City Wide clients and ensure they meet clients’ scope of work. Responsible for promoting and driving cross-selling opportunities with the sales team and driving non-janitorial services. Responsible for participating in all new client starts for the duration of the new start. Responsible for ensuring building inspections are completed, followed up with, and all client data is maintained in CRM. Responsible for people development – ensure all 60-day reviews, Level 5 meetings, and annual reviews are completed with operational employees. Work in the field with FSMs each week and participate as backfill to the FSM as needed. Travel within market, up to 50% local travel.
