Director Imaging Services - McLaren Careers
**Position Summary:** Responsible for the overall management of assigned department including quality, patient satisfaction, people management, annual business planning (including budgeting, staffing, marketing and new business development), facilitation of physician integration, operational efficiencies and coordination of interactions with other clinical service areas in accordance with established policies and standards. Ensures that all Radiology Services operations are functional and provide patient care in the most appropriate, efficient and effective manner. **Essential Functionsand Responsibilities:** 1. Directs and coordinates imaging services activities toinsure that services are provided on schedule with quality and cost objectives. 2. Improves quality, ensuring thatImaging delivers the right test to the right patient at the right time. 3. Develops and implements strategicplans for all aspects of imaging operations including budgets and processimprovement activities. Meets market goals by achieving budgeted volumetargets. 4. Ensures that all imaging services and operations arecarried out in compliance with local, state, federal, and governmentalregulations and laws. 5. Hires, orients, evaluates, andrewards/disciplines leadership for the Imaging department. Oversees all humanresource activities within the department. Maintains high staff engagement. 6. Develops and trains department personnel and reviewsand appraises their performance in partnership with department leaders. 7. Establishes a department organization plan anddelegates responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities to appropriatesubordinates. 8. Manages financialperformance: develops annual capital and operational budgets; monitors same;develops action plans for adjusting expenditures to stay within budget. 9. Creates and evaluates new procedures and equipment forpotential use in imaging services and recommends new procedures and equipmentwhere necessary. 10. Directs,coordinates and oversees major unit projects to the best economic advantage ofthe corporation. 11. Recommendsand secures approval of major capital expense items initiating bidding processwith vendors and upon approval, warding bids Performs other related duties as required and directed **Qualifications:** _Required:_ + Bachelor’sdegree in healthcare related field. + Five years of prior work experience. + Five years management experience _Preferred:_ + Master’s degree in businessor healthcare administration
