Job Overview:

RWJ Barnabas Health is looking for a Director of the GR-Regional Diagnostic Treatment at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. This person is responsible for overseeing all clinical activities and mental health protocols in the RDTC, CHEC and FLEC programs.

Qualifications:

Required:

NJ Licensed Doctoral degree in Psychology Ph,D, Psy,D,Certified in TFCBTFive years of experience post-doctoral degree; Expertise/training in child maltreatment; Minimum five years of supervisory experience; Knowledge of NJ laws and resources regarding child abuse and neglect,

Essential Functions:

Directs diagnostic assessments, psychotherapy services, crisis intervention, and related case management of child patients,Oversees the administration of all mental health services and supervises psychologists,Offers training in maltreatmentInsure that the Metro RDTC is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations pertaining to but not limited to APSAC, APA, and DCFConducts forensic psychosocial evaluations of children and adolescents referred for child maltreatment, as neededProvides well-integrated written reports in a timely mannerProvides crisis intervention and emergency services to child victims and familiesProvides training in child abuse and neglect to hospitals, community agencies, and professionals in the field of child maltreatmentProvides clinical supervision to mental health clinicians, psychologists on assessment and treatment, as neededProvides supervision to psychology externs, as neededProvides clinical coverage, across programs, as neededConducts and supervises clinical research, depending on knowledge of research and skillsParticipates as a member of the Metro RDTC Management TeamAssigns work to supervisees and monitors timely execution of tasksMonitors/approves time off and activities conferences of superviseesProvides reports pertaining to supervisees/programsAttends meeting at the CAC, RDTC, and addresses all issues related to mental health services and the clinical staff,Provides expert opinion to prosecutor's office, DCP&P, and the CAC as needed,
