The Director II, HR Controls & Avionics Solutions (CAS) & Power & Propulsion Solutions (PPS) is responsible for providing overall HR leadership to the CAS and PPS business areas in the Electronic Systems business segment at BAE Systems, Inc.
In this role, you will build talent strategies, enable a culture of inclusion and deploy organizational effectiveness tools that attract reward, engage, retain, and develop our diverse talent base.
This role will support the CAS and PPS Vice President & General Managers and their leadership teams and report directly to the Vice President, HR of Electronic Systems. This position is hybrid role based at one of our major CAS and PPS locations: Endicott, NY; Fort Wayne, IN.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Create and execute an agile people strategy across that advances critical business priorities and supports the attraction, development and retention of our talent while embracing the future of work.
+ Lead and/or partner (with COE s) on items including, but not limited to talent acquisition, talent development, leadership development, succession planning, people & culture, organizational effectiveness, performance development and total rewards.
+ Orchestrate key talent movement with an aim towards building high performance teams and robust succession.
+ Partner with leaders to evaluate the effectiveness of their teams and their organizational design. Facilitate workshops to re-evaluate existing structures, where needed. Lead change management efforts and new leader onboarding/assimilation activities, as required.
+ Counsel / coach functional leaders on matters concerning development of their organization to enhance effectiveness and potential. Connect leaders to the right resources to support their own development and the development/effectiveness of their teams.
+ Manage a team of HR Partners that work together, leveraging best practices and regional expertise. Provide guidance, direction, and coaching; assess performance, provide feedback, and actively develop talent.
+ Serve as a member of the Electronic Systems HR leadership team, actively partnering with other leadership team members to drive innovative, strategic, and consistent people strategies across all of Electronic Systems.
+ Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelor s Degree and 14 years of relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of relevant experience OR in absence of a degree, 18 years of relevant experience is required
+ Proven success in Director level Strategic Leadership. Highly experienced in developing and executing a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with business priorities and drives organizational effectiveness.
+ Talent Management Expertise: Proven expertise in Talent Management, including talent acquisition, development, retention, and succession planning, with a focus on building high-performance teams.
+ Strong understanding of organizational design, performance development, and total rewards, with the ability to facilitate workshops and lead change management efforts.
+ Experience in HR business partnership, with a focus on strategic HR and the ability to partner with senior leaders to drive business outcomes.
+ Proven track record of developing and implementing leadership development programs, with a focus on succession planning and talent growth.
+ Ability to lead and manage complex change initiatives, including organizational design, process improvements, and cultural transformations.
+ Team Leadership: Experience in managing a team of HR professionals, with a focus on developing and coaching team members to achieve business objectives.
+ Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex business problems and develop creative solutions that drive business outcomes.
+ Must be willing to travel up to 25%.

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Experience in an HR Business Partner role supporting an organization of at least $1B in annual sales and a unionized workforce.
+ Previous experience working for a government defense contractor.
+ Preferred location is one of our major CAS and PPS locations: Endicott, NY; Fort Wayne, IN. Hybrid with a mix of on-site and remote presence.
+ Proven experience serving as a coach to senior leaders for their organization on HR matters relating to organizational strategies and business imperatives.
+ Business acumen, be innovative, adapt well to change and work collaboratively with strategic influence to drive initiatives across a matrixed environment.
+ Deep knowledge of HR fundamentals (talent acquisition, total rewards, performance management, employee relations, culture, organizational change, learning and development, and organization effectiveness).
+ Ability to develop and present senior level leaders with data-driven solutions that will effectively advance business strategies and drive change throughout their organizations.
+ Project management and prioritization skills with proven attention to detail.
+ Analytical skills to draw appropriate conclusions from data, anticipating second and third order of effects when making recommendations.
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $154815 - $263185
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
