We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Employee Relations to lead our Employee Relations efforts across the LATAM region, including Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, and Peru. This position will be based in our Polanco office in Mexico City and will report directly to the Regional Leader. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in **Employee Relations or broader HR roles, with knowledge of LATAM labor laws, practices, and cultural nuances.

This role requires a proactive leader who can navigate complex employment matters, implement best-in-class ER strategies, and foster a culture of fairness, inclusion, and compliance across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary Employee Relations point of contact for LATAM countries: Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, and Peru**Provide guidance and coaching to HR Business Partners, people leaders, and employees on a broad range of ER matters including performance management, workplace investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.Ensure compliance with all local labor laws and regulatory requirements across the LATAM region.Conduct and oversee internal investigations related to employee complaints, policy violations, or other sensitive matters.Partner with Legal, Compliance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on risk mitigation and legal exposure.Monitor and analyze ER trends and key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement and report findings to leadership.Develop and deliver training to managers and employees on ER best practices, policies, and local employment law updates.Participate in or lead initiatives to enhance employee experience, organizational culture, and employee trust and engagement.


Qualifications:

Minimum 8 years of experience in Employee Relations, HR, or a related field, ideally in a   multinational environment.Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws and labor practices in Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, and Peru.Proven track record of conducting complex investigations and handling high-risk employee issues with sound judgment.Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.Ability to work independently in a matrixed, fast-paced, and multicultural environment.Fluency in Spanish and English is required; Portuguese* is a strong plus.Willingness to travel regionally as needed.

Preferred Attributes

Experience supporting LATAM countries in a regional capacity.Certification in Labor Relations or Employee Relations (e.g., SHRM, HRCI).Legal or compliance background is a plus.High emotional intelligence and ability to influence at all levels.
