Astria Health is seeking a Emergency Room Director to join our team! This will be for our Sunnyside Hospital.

As the Emergency Room Director, you will be responsible and accountable for planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating patient care programs and staff activities in the Emergency Department. You will:
The Director demonstrates professional nursing practice through implementation and oversight of evidence-based practices.Implements programs to improve the delivery of patient care, establishes relationships with professional and/or health related groups in the community, works effectively with others, and makes significant contributions to the nursing profession.Provides, promotes, and supports a professional environment that utilizes effective delegation of responsibility.Provides leadership and management of the Emergency Department. Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for managing/directing patient care activities.Participates in policy development, implementation, and staff adherence.Performs other duties as assigned. Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization.Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN).Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington. (May be a multi-State license from a Compact state or a Washington license.)Health Care Provider CPR Certification, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certification required within 6 months of hire.One or more years’ experience with adult learning principles to support nursing education and training activities.Self-directed, ability to work both independently and collaboratively with hospital community.Ability for public speaking and development/delivery of presentations.Demonstrated effective leadership and interpersonal skills.MS Office Suite skills, Internet and associated computer skills (intermediate skill level).
Preferred Qualifications and Education.
Three years nursing experience in acute healthcare setting preferred.Charge Nurse experience or nursing leadership experience preferred.
