**Job Summary and Qualifications**
**Summary:**
The Director of Education, Training & Exercises leads the strategic development and enterprise-wide implementation of education, training, and exercise programs within the Enterprise Emergency Operations Group (EEOG), which includes the Emergency Management, Business Continuity, Security Services, and International Emergency Operations divisions. This position is responsible for elevating the organization’s readiness and resilience capability through innovative, scalable, and measurable learning solutions. Under the oversight of department executives, the Director will lead a multidisciplinary team of collaborators, and oversee the entire training and exercise portfolio, ensuring alignment with internal goals, regulatory requirements, and evolving global threats.
**Major Responsibilities:**
**Strategic Leadership & Program Oversight**
+ Provide strategic direction and oversight for all enterprise training, education, and exercise initiatives across EEOG and operating divisions.
+ Lead annual strategic planning, program evaluation, and budgeting processes.
+ Establish and chair a Training & Education Steering Committee to ensure cross-divisional alignment and collaboration.
**Program Development & Delivery**
+ Oversee the design and deployment of a comprehensive education portfolio, including just-in-time training, leadership development, crisis simulations, and technical certification programs.
+ Ensure delivery through modern, multimodal platforms including virtual, in-person, AI-driven, and novel learning platforms.
**Exercise Design & Evaluation**
+ Lead the design and execution of a scalable exercise library including tabletop, functional, and full-scale formats based on HCA Emergency Operations frameworks.
+ Serve as the senior education and training lead during activations of the Enterprise Emergency Operations Center.
**Technology & Innovation**
+ Champion emerging learning technologies and tools to increase efficiency, engagement, and knowledge retention.
+ Lead the integration and optimization of the Learning Management System (LMS) and performance analytics platforms.
+ Oversee the EEOG Collaboration Center in partnership with leaders and SME from each operating division.
**Collaboration & Communication**
+ Collaborates with the EEOG Operating Division executives to develop the strategic plan and annual goals within each operating division domain.
+ Serve as a liaison across EEOG divisions and with external agencies, vendors, and accreditation bodies.
+ Deliver compelling presentations to executive leadership, emergency managers, security operators and other key stakeholders.
**Evaluation & Compliance**
+ Implement robust evaluation methods and performance analytics to measure effectiveness and ROI of learning initiatives.
+ Ensure training programs meet or exceed regulatory and accreditation requirements (e.g., CMS, Joint Commission).
**Education & Experience:**
+ Master’s or Doctorate degree in Education, Business Administration, Emergency Management, Organizational Development, or related field (Required)
+ Minimum 7+ years of experience leading enterprise-wide operational programs, or education and training programs, with 3+ years of management experience (Required)
+ Demonstrated understanding and application of adult learning principles, instructional design, and curriculum development (Preferred)
+ Proven leadership experience in emergency preparedness, business continuity, or healthcare security (Preferred)
