Job Summary
The Director (Operations) at Mary Francis Bachmann School works as a leadership dyad with the Director (Curriculum) at the Mary Francis Bachmann School responsible for overseeing the strategic, administrative and operational functions of the School. This position requires a dynamic leader with extensive education / school management experience, capable of guiding the school’s day-to-day operational initiatives, fostering culture development (student and faculty), and ensuring the delivery of high-quality educational services to students and their families. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, strategic vision, and a commitment to continuous improvement to support the school’s mission and growth objectives.

Monitor program to maintain a quality day-to-day operationEnsure that the facility conforms with Pennsylvania licensing standards and regulations for a grades schoolRecruit and employ qualified staff and volunteers who meet all required training and safety requirements for participation in programs involving children.Orient new staff and volunteers to their specific job duties and the Waldorf-inspired philosophies at the heart of the program and school-based and organization-wide policies and procedures.Assign staff responsibilities and coordinate scheduling for staff in accordance to the needs of the School and Pennsylvania Department of Education regulations.Identify and schedule appropriate professional development opportunities for staffMaintain an environment in which staff members are fully engaged and have the opportunity to reach their full potentialDevelop and implement an ongoing program of activities that contribute to the growth and development of students, families and employeesEnsure that classrooms, common rooms and restrooms are kept safe, clean and in proper working orderOrder supplies as needed in accordance with CHI St. Joseph Children’s Health purchasing procedure.Oversee the food services program to assure appropriate preparation of meals, snacks and nutritional programmingSupervise the record keeping for the School, including school records, children’s records and appropriate staff recordsCoordinate the enrollment process for children and families in collaboration the School System leadershipCollect all appropriate fees and tuition payments in collaboration with CHI St. Joseph Children’s Health Financial ServicesEnsures that the school consistently achieves desired enrollment levels and maintains and manages a waiting list for filling positions for new students as they become openTrack and report for school outcomes and impact measuresDevelop and maintain appropriate contact with parents, guardians and familiesServes as the liaison between the School and Pennsylvania regulatory authorities. requirements
Job Requirements

Education (including licenses, certifications):

Bachelor's degree in social work, education, management or related field required.Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience required and preferred:

Minimum of 3-5 years experience with education, public health, community outreach coordination and/or supervision of staff required.Bi-Lingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.Knowledge of child development, education services/programming and requirements strongly preferred.

Skill Competencies:

Excellent communication skills – both written and verbalAbility to handle multiple tasksComfort working with computers and with utilizing virtual meeting and instructional technologyDemonstrate a high comfort working with diverse populations and an understanding of the cultural and social barriers that can exist when accessing health or health-related care, education and private schools.Promote a positive team-based approach to education and care.Where You'll Work
