Group/Division Summary: The Director of Digital Marketing & E-commerce is a strategic leadership role accountable for driving revenue growth, customer acquisition, demand generation, retention. This individual will develop an outstanding customer experience across all digital touchpoints. In addition, the role will lead both the digital marketing and e-commerce functions, using data, content, AI and technology. This function will build a seamless, impactful customer path across owned, operated, and third-party platforms. This passionate professional will lead a hardworking group of digital managers, crafting and implementing the online and eBusiness approach for the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry division (CMD). This role, reporting to the VP of Marketing, will lead all aspects of strategy and execution for the CMD division, supporting six business units. This leader will optimize the digital customer experience, achieving demand generation, and driving revenue conversion, all while ensuring outstanding execution, measurement, and optimization. Key Responsibilities: Develop highly effective digital and eCommerce strategy, aligned to CMD’s business goalsImplement with excellence, developing and running operationally efficient processes, aligned with the needs of our customers and internal business partnersActivate all digital marketing channels: paid media (search, display, social), owned media (website, email, social), SEO/AEO/GEO, content, UX/UI, lifecycle / retention marketing.Lead the e-commerce product merchandising, digital storefront UX, checkout optimization, order flow, customer service touchpoints through digital channels.Apply data, analytics, machine learning, and experimentation to optimize performance, measure, and drive continuous improvement.Implement personalization strategies across digital journeys; leverage data science / predictive modeling, AI/ML where relevant.Drive alignment with brand, ensuring content is findable (search, voice, generative engines), and supports marketing funnels and commerce.Collaborate cross-functionally: global and regional marketing, product management, sales, operations, tech/IT, corporate marketing and marketing communicationsLead, mentor, and scale an impactful team; own agency / vendor relationships.Ownership of budget, forecasting, P&L for digital and e-commerce marketing.Stay up to date with digital marketing trends, emerging platforms, e-commerce technology, consumer behavior; incorporate innovation.Qualifications:Experience: 8+ years of meaningful experience in digital marketing / e-commerce, including several years in leadership roles leading teams and cross-functional initiatives.Technical / Analytical Skills: Demonstrates hands-on expertise in SEO, SEM, marketing automation, and analytics tools; experience with AI/ML or predictive analytics.Marketing Channel Expertise: Deep knowledge of SEO/AEO/GEO, SEM, paid digital advertising, content marketing, email/lifecycle marketing, and social mediaUser / Customer Experience: Strong sense of customer experience and data-driven decision making with user behavior insight.Commerce / Merchandising Skills: Experience running ecommerce platforms; optimizing merchandising/product presentationLeadership: Displaying skill in leading teams as an inspirational leader; effective customer relationship management; maintaining a balance between strategy and operational excellence.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present effectively to senior leadership; collaborate across diverse and global teams.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus (or equivalent experience). Pay range of $160,000 to $180,000
