Director, FP&A – Clinical Trials Division

How you will make an impact

The Clinical Trials Division (CTD) is a $2.5B+, 4,300-employee global leader within the Pharmaceutical Services Group (PSG). We provide the hope that saves lives by delivering critical clinical trial services — from strategy, sourcing, packaging, and labeling to storage and distribution.

We are seeking a forward-thinking Finance leader to join the global CTD leadership team. In this role, you will not only provide finance and business partnership leadership but also advance our digital finance capabilities to transform how we deliver insights. Leading a team of three and collaborating across a global matrix, you will enhance analytics, ensure robust financial controls, and deliver timely and accurate financial reporting. Most importantly, you’ll provide trusted decision support, identify and implement operational improvements, and develop a high-performing finance team that thrives in a digital-first environment.

What you will do

As the Director of FP&A, you will be a strategic partner and catalyst for performance improvement across CTD. With the support of your team, you’ll connect global business and regional leaders to the insights and tools they need to achieve ambitious growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day finance leadership for CTD FP&A, partnering closely with operating teams to drive business performance and accountability.Lead division-wide digitization and automation initiatives, advancing finance technology, tools, and processes in partnership with IT and global functions.Deliver strategic guidance that turns data into actionable opportunities for growth and efficiency.Partner with leaders on operating expense and capital investment decisions, forecasting, and resource allocation.Own and drive the division’s forecasting, AOP, QBR, and STRAP processes in a dynamic matrixed environment, ensuring alignment with company strategy and market conditions.Develop new analytical approaches to generate exploratory and explanatory business insights.Build and mentor a high-performing, digitally savvy finance team.Lead design of reporting for centralized ERP, reporting, and visualization solutions that empower business leaders.Champion continuous improvement in financial processes, embedding best practices across the division.Support M&A activity with rigorous financial analysis and integration support.

How you will get here

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required.CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Proven experience in corporate or divisional FP&A leadership roles.Demonstrated ability to apply intellectual curiosity and data-driven thinking to uncover insights others may miss.Expertise with financial systems such as SAP ERP and Hyperion Financial Management; working knowledge of relational databases and digital reporting tools.Strong command of GAAP with public company/corporate finance experience.Exceptional communication skills — able to translate complex analyses into clear guidance for executives and business stakeholders.Advanced analytical skills with a track record of driving actions from insights.Self-motivated, adaptable, and committed to delivering results.10+ years of progressive finance experience.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $160,100.00–$213,400.00.
